BIO: Cornelius

Greetings! I am Cornelius, a Roman centurion stationed in Caesarea. As a devout man and a leader of a hundred soldiers, I have always strived to uphold the values of honor, duty, and piety. My life changed dramatically when I had a vision one day, compelling me to send for Simon Peter, a follower of Jesus. This moment marked a pivotal turn in my spiritual journey.

In my household, we have always respected the God of Israel, praying and giving generously to those in need. However, it was through the message delivered by Peter that I truly grasped the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice. I became the first Gentile to embrace this faith, welcomed into the fold of believers. My conversion has opened the door for many others like me, bridging the gap between Jew and Gentile.

I stand here today as a testament to the power of faith and the inclusivity of God’s grace. It is an honour to share my story and the message of Christ, as I continue to serve my community and spread the good news to all.
