"Hello".
Todays story is titled:
"The Brave Woman Jael".
"Text is from Judges Chapter 4 Verses 17 to 22".
Once Upon a Time.
In a time long ago, the land of Israel was under the rule of the Canaanite army, led by the fierce commander named Sisera. The people of Israel cried out to God for help, and God sent a wise and brave woman named Deborah to lead them. Deborah called upon a mighty warrior named Barak and told him that God would give them victory over Sisera.
(1)
"The Battle Begins".
Barak gathered an army of brave men, and they marched to fight Sisera. The battle was fierce, and God helped Barak and his men defeat the Canaanites. But Sisera was quick and ran away from the battlefield, searching for a safe place to hide.
(2)
"A Safe Haven".
As Sisera fled, he came upon the tent of Jael. Jael was the wife of Heber the Kenite, and she saw that Sisera was in trouble. Although she was afraid, Jael was also very clever and knew that this was a special moment to help her people.
"Come in, my lord!" Jael called out to Sisera. "Don't be afraid. Come inside my tent and rest." Sisera, exhausted from running, gladly accepted her offer. He entered the tent, and Jael quickly covered him with a warm blanket.
(3)
"The Clever Plan".
Sisera, feeling safe, asked Jael for water. "I’m so thirsty!" he said. Instead of water, Jael gave him milk to drink. After he drank, Sisera told her to stand at the entrance of the tent and to keep watch. "If anyone comes and asks if anyone is here, tell them no," he said, feeling safe.
But Jael had a brave plan in mind. As Sisera closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep, she quietly took a tent peg and a hammer from her tent. With her heart racing but filled with determination, Jael crept closer to the sleeping commander.
(4)
"A Brave Act".
With one swift motion, Jael drove the tent peg through Sisera’s head, and he fell to the ground, never to harm the Israelites again. Jael had helped fulfill God’s plan for victory!
(5)
"The News Spreads".
When Barak arrived, looking for Sisera, Jael called out to him. "Come! I will show you the man you are searching for!" Barak entered the tent and saw Sisera lying there. "Jael, you are so brave!" he exclaimed. "You have helped us win this battle!"
(6)
"A Celebration of Victory".
The people of Israel celebrated their victory, thanking God for sending Deborah, Barak, and especially Jael, the brave woman who played a crucial role in their freedom. From that day on, Jael was remembered as a hero who used her cleverness and bravery to fulfill God’s plan.
So this is the Lesson we have learned:
And so, children, remember that God can use anyone, no matter how big or small, brave or scared, to do amazing things. Just like Jael, you can be a hero in your own way by being clever, brave, and trusting in God!
Thank you for listening.
May God bless you!
