KIDS STORY: Soaring on Wings Like Eagles (Isaiah 40:31)
Sunday Oct 27, 2024
Sunday Oct 27, 2024
"Todays story is titled: Soaring on Wings Like Eagles"
Taken from Isaiah 40:31.
In a small village long ago, there was a young boy named Eli who loved to play and explore. But sometimes, he felt tired and worried about all the things he had to do. He wanted to be strong, brave, and filled with energy like his big brother.
One day, Eli’s grandmother sat with him under a big tree, and she told him something amazing from the Bible. “In Isaiah 40:31, it says, ‘But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.’”
Eli listened carefully and asked, “Grandma, what does it mean to ‘soar on wings like eagles’?”
His grandmother smiled. “It means that when we trust in God, He gives us strength just like an eagle soaring high in the sky. Eagles fly high without getting tired because the wind lifts them up. In the same way, God lifts us up and gives us courage when we need it.”
From that day on, whenever Eli felt tired or worried, he remembered to trust in God. And just like an eagle, he felt himself lifted up with new energy. He knew that with God’s help, he could do anything!
Thank you for listening.
May God bless you!

KIDS STORY: (TAGALOG) - DANIEL AND THE LION
Saturday Oct 26, 2024
Saturday Oct 26, 2024
DANIEL 6

KIDS STORY: Ehud and Eglon
Saturday Oct 26, 2024
Saturday Oct 26, 2024
JUDGES 3:12-30
This is a story about Ehud and Eglon: A Story of Courage and Cleverness.
Once upon a time in the land of Israel, the people were in great trouble. They were being ruled by a mean king named Eglon, who was the king of Moab. Eglon was very heavy and very proud. He made the Israelites work hard and pay him lots of their food and treasures. The people of Israel cried out to God for help, and God listened to their prayers.
In Israel, there was a brave man named Ehud. He was different from everyone else because he was left-handed! Most people used their right hand, but Ehud was clever and strong, and he used his left hand to do amazing things. God chose Ehud to help save His people.
One day, Ehud decided to take a special gift to King Eglon. He gathered some delicious food, and with a smile on his face, he set off to the palace. The people of Israel were afraid, but they trusted that God would help Ehud.
When Ehud arrived at the palace, he gave the food to the king. Eglon was very pleased and thought Ehud was a loyal servant. But Ehud had a secret plan in his heart. He wanted to set his people free!
After giving the king the gift, Ehud said, “O King Eglon, I have a secret message for you!” Eglon was curious and wanted to hear what it was. He waved his servants away, telling them to leave the room. Then, he leaned in close to hear what Ehud had to say.
With a brave heart, Ehud pulled out a special dagger that he had hidden under his clothes. It was small and sharp, perfect for his clever plan. “This is the message from God,” Ehud said. And before Eglon could understand what was happening, Ehud quickly thrust the dagger into the king's belly!
Eglon was so surprised that he couldn’t even call for help. He fell down, and Ehud quickly ran out of the room. The guards outside thought their king was just resting, so they didn’t go in right away.
Ehud hurried to gather the people of Israel. “God has given us victory! Let us be brave and fight against the Moabites!” The Israelites were inspired by Ehud’s courage and quickly followed him.
Together, they marched against King Eglon’s army and won the battle! The Moabites were defeated, and the Israelites were free once again. They rejoiced and praised God for sending Ehud to help them.
From that day on, Ehud was remembered as a clever and brave judge. He had saved his people from their enemy, proving that God can use anyone, even someone who is left-handed, to do great things.
And so, the story of Ehud and Eglon teaches us that courage and cleverness, along with faith in God, can help us overcome even the biggest challenges. The people of Israel celebrated their freedom and always remembered the brave left-handed judge who saved them.
Thank you for listening.
May God bless you!

KIDS STORY: A lion from Daniels Den
Saturday Oct 26, 2024
Saturday Oct 26, 2024
DANIEL 6
I remember that night well, though all nights in the den were dark and thick with the scent of fear. The others and I had been restless, prowling our stone prison in circles, our instincts sharpened by hunger. Then, the iron doors groaned open, and the guards pushed in a lone man.
I was alert immediately, as were my brothers. We were used to men tossed to us as punishment for crimes, a spectacle for the king’s pleasure. But this man… he was different. Instead of trembling or pleading, he walked to the center of the den, calm, almost serene. His eyes, kind but steady, looked over us without a flicker of fear.
One of my brothers let out a low growl, more out of habit than hunger. The man knelt and began to murmur softly, his voice a gentle rhythm, steady and sure. It was then that I felt it: a warmth spreading through the den, something stronger than fear, something gentler than threat. It settled over us like a soft night mist, and one by one, my brothers lowered their heads, the rumbling of their hunger quieting. I found myself lying down too, as if some unseen hand had stilled the growling pit in my stomach.
All night, he stayed there, his eyes closed in quiet prayer. And all night, we watched, unthreatened, unthreatening. We felt no hunger, no rage, only a strange calm that flowed through our veins, stronger than any force we'd known. This man was not like others; he carried peace like a scent, and it wrapped around us like a blanket, thicker and softer than any stone walls around us.
When morning broke, I saw the doors open again, and the king himself stepped in, his face full of surprise. The man rose, turning to him with a quiet smile, unharmed, untouched. The guards stood frozen, and I met the king's wide eyes through the bars, seeing a trace of fear there, something I’d not seen in men before.
As Daniel was led out of the den, I felt that strange peace lifting, leaving us with nothing but the faint, comforting memory of it. We lions, feared by all, were, for one night, conquered—not by chains, not by stones, but by the quiet spirit of a man who feared nothing at all.

DEVOTIONAL: A Beacon to the Nations (Isaiah 60:3)
Tuesday Oct 22, 2024
Tuesday Oct 22, 2024
Todays Devotional title is":
"A Beacon to the Nations":
"Isaiah 60:3 (KJV) reads":
"And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising."
"In Reflection about this verse":
In this powerful verse, the prophet Isaiah envisions a future where God's glory shines so brightly through His people that even nations and rulers are drawn to it. This prophetic imagery emphasizes the transformative power of God's presence and His ability to attract people from all walks of life to His light.
"God’s Light in Us":
God calls us to be reflectors of His light. When we walk in His ways and embrace His truth, we emanate a light that is noticeable even in the darkest places. This divine light is not just for our benefit but serves as a beacon for others. Our lives become testimonies of God's grace, mercy, and love, drawing others to Him.
"A Universal Call":
The mention of "Gentiles" and "kings" highlights the universal scope of God's plan. His salvation and glory are not limited to a specific group but are available to all. This inclusivity reminds us of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19), urging us to share the gospel with everyone, regardless of their background or status.
"The Brightness of Rising":
The phrase "the brightness of thy rising" speaks to a new beginning, a dawn of hope and restoration. As believers, we experience this brightness through our relationship with Christ. He is the source of our hope and the reason for our radiant joy. As we rise in our faith, our transformation becomes evident to those around us.
"Applications in our lives":
1. "Shine Brightly",:
Commit to living a life that reflects God's light. Through act's of kindness, integrity, and love, let others see Christ in you.
2. "Embrace Inclusivity",:
Reach out to those who might not yet know the Lord. Be welcoming and inclusive, remembering that God's love is for everyone.
3. "Be a Beacon of Hope",:
In times of despair, let your faith and hope in Christ be a guiding light for others. Your testimony can inspire and lead others to the Saviour.
"So, in Conclusion",:Isaiah 60:3 reminds us of the powerful impact of God's light in our lives. As we walk in His light, we not only find our path illuminated but also become guides for others. Let us rise and shine, bringing glory to God and drawing many to His divine presence.
"Let us pray",:
Lord, help us to be vessels of Your light. May our lives reflect Your glory and draw others to You. Give us the courage to share Your love with everyone we encounter and to be beacons of hope in a dark world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
"Thank you for listening and may God bless you."

BIO: Jezebel
Monday Oct 21, 2024
Monday Oct 21, 2024
I am Queen Jezebel, once the most powerful woman in the kingdom of Israel. My name, synonymous with strength and defiance, echoes through the annals of history. Born a princess of Tyre, I ascended to the throne through my marriage to King Ahab, and together we ruled with unparalleled authority.
My reign was marked by the fierce devotion to my gods, Baal and Asherah. I sought to replace the worship of Yahweh with the veneration of our deities, believing firmly in the power and tradition of my homeland's faith. This, I knew, would unify our kingdom under a single, powerful belief system, bringing prosperity and stability.
However, my devotion was perceived as heresy by the followers of Yahweh, leading to ceaseless conflict. The prophets, especially Elijah, were relentless in their opposition. They decried me as a harlot and a sorceress, branding my influence as wickedness. Their God, they claimed, was the only true god, and they painted my efforts to honor my gods as acts of blasphemy.
Despite the fervor of my adversaries, I stood resolute. I was a queen, born to lead, and I would not cower before threats. Yet, the tides of fortune turned against me. Jehu, a commander of Israel’s army, rose in rebellion. Fueled by zealotry and a thirst for power, he stormed the palace.
In my final moments, I adorned myself in regal splendor, painting my eyes and arranging my hair, a defiant queen facing her end with dignity. As Jehu's forces broke through, I met his gaze from the window, unyielding. His soldiers threw me from the tower, and I plummeted to the ground below. My body, broken and bloodied, was left to the dogs, a gruesome end to a life of power and defiance.
Even in death, my story did not end. It became a cautionary tale, a symbol of unrestrained ambition and the perils of opposing the divine will. But to me, it was a testament to my unwavering spirit and the fierce loyalty I bore to my beliefs. I was Jezebel, a queen who lived and died by her convictions, unrepentant and unforgettable.

KIDS STORY: The Birth of Jesus: A Story of Joy and Salvation
Monday Oct 21, 2024
Monday Oct 21, 2024
Todays story is about:
"The Birth of Jesus: A Story of Joy and Salvation".
Taken from Luke Chapter 2.
Once upon a time, in a small town called Nazareth, there lived a kind young woman named Mary. One day, an angel named Gabriel visited her with an incredible message. "Mary," said Gabriel, "you are going to have a special baby. He will be the Son of God, and you will name him Jesus."
Mary was amazed and full of joy, but also a little scared. How could this be? Gabriel reassured her, "Do not be afraid, Mary. God is with you, and He has chosen you for this wonderful miracle."
At the same time, in a nearby town, an angel appeared to a good man named Joseph in a dream. The angel said, "Joseph, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the baby she carries is from the Holy Spirit. His name will be Jesus, and He will save His people from their sins." Joseph woke up, his heart filled with joy and purpose. He knew he must take care of Mary and the baby.
As the months went by, the Roman Emperor Augustus ordered a census. Everyone had to go to their hometown to be counted. So, Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem, Joseph's ancestral home. It was a long, tiring journey, especially for Mary, who was soon to have her baby.
When they arrived in Bethlehem, the town was crowded with people. Every inn was full. Mary and Joseph knocked on door after door, but there was no room for them. Finally, a kind innkeeper saw Mary's condition and offered them a humble stable. It wasn't much, but it was warm and safe.
That night, under the twinkling stars, Mary gave birth to baby Jesus. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, a feeding trough for animals, because they had no crib. Despite the humble surroundings, Mary and Joseph were filled with joy. The Savior of the world had been born!
In the nearby fields, shepherds were watching over their flocks. Suddenly, an angel appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. The shepherds were terrified, but the angel said, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord. You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."
Then, a multitude of angels appeared, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"
The shepherds hurried to Bethlehem and found Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, just as the angel had said. They knelt down and worshiped Him, their hearts overflowing with joy. They knew they were witnessing a miracle, the birth of the Savior who would bring salvation to all.
The shepherds returned to their fields, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. They told everyone they met about the amazing things they had witnessed, spreading the joy of Jesus' birth.
And so, the story of Jesus' birth began to spread throughout the land, bringing hope, joy, and salvation to all who heard it. Mary and Joseph marvelled at all that had happened, treasuring these moments in their hearts.
From that humble stable in Bethlehem, the message of Jesus' birth continues to bring joy and salvation to the world, reminding us that God's love is the greatest gift of all.
Thank you for listening.
May God bless you.

KIDS STORY: The Ascension of Jesus
Sunday Oct 20, 2024
Sunday Oct 20, 2024
Todays story is about:
"The Ascension of Jesus"
Once upon a time, after Jesus had risen from the dead, He spent forty days with His disciples, teaching them many wonderful things about God's kingdom. The disciples were so happy to have Jesus with them again, and they loved learning from Him.
One day, Jesus led His disciples to a hill outside of Jerusalem. As they walked together, the disciples had many questions for Jesus. They wondered about God's plans and when Jesus would make everything right in the world.
"Lord," they asked, "are you going to set up your kingdom now?"
Jesus smiled at His disciples and replied, "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by His own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
The disciples listened carefully, trying to understand everything Jesus was telling them. Then something amazing happened.
Jesus lifted His hands to bless them, and as He did, He began to rise up into the sky! Higher and higher He went, until a cloud hid Him from their sight. The disciples stood there, staring up at the sky, amazed and a little confused. They wondered where Jesus was going and if they would see Him again.
As they were looking up, two men dressed in white suddenly appeared beside them. These men were angels sent from God.
"Men of Galilee," the angels said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven."
The disciples were filled with hope and joy. They knew that even though Jesus had gone up to heaven, He would one day come back just as the angels had promised. And they also remembered what Jesus had told them about the Holy Spirit. They knew they had an important job to do: to tell everyone about Jesus and His love.
So, the disciples returned to Jerusalem, ready to wait for the Holy Spirit and to share the good news of Jesus with the whole world. And they were never alone, for they knew that Jesus was always with them in their hearts.
This is the story of Jesus' ascension, teaching us that He is always with us, and reminding us of the promise of His return.
The End.
Thank you for listening.May God bless you!
