BIO: Lydia

Hello! I’m Lydia, often recognized as the first European convert to Christianity. My story is found in the New Testament, particularly in the Book of Acts (Acts 16:11-15). I was a wealthy merchant from Thyatira, known for selling purple dye, a luxury item in ancient times.
During one of my travels to Philippi, I encountered the Apostle Paul and his companions while they were preaching by the riverside. I was deeply moved by their message and felt a strong conviction. After listening to Paul, I was baptized along with my household, marking a significant moment in the spread of Christianity throughout Europe.
My faith didn’t stop there; I opened my home to Paul and his companions, providing them with hospitality and support as they continued their missionary work. My journey represents the early growth of the Christian faith in Europe and highlights the role of women in the early Church.
I'm proud to be part of this transformative movement!

BIO: Sarah

Hello! I am Sarah, wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac. My story is a significant part of the history of the Hebrew people, and I am honored to share it with you.
I married Abraham (then known as Abram) and together we embarked on a journey of faith, leaving our homeland to go to the land that God promised to show us. Despite many challenges and uncertainties, we trusted in God's promises.
For many years, I struggled with infertility, and it was a source of great sorrow for me. However, when I was ninety years old, God fulfilled His promise, and I miraculously gave birth to our son, Isaac. This event was not only a personal joy but also a pivotal moment in the fulfillment of God's covenant with Abraham.
Isaac's birth represented the continuation of God's promise to make Abraham the father of a great nation. My story is one of faith, perseverance, and the incredible things that can happen when we trust in God's plan.

BIO: Cornelius

Greetings! I am Cornelius, a Roman centurion stationed in Caesarea. As a devout man and a leader of a hundred soldiers, I have always strived to uphold the values of honor, duty, and piety. My life changed dramatically when I had a vision one day, compelling me to send for Simon Peter, a follower of Jesus. This moment marked a pivotal turn in my spiritual journey.
In my household, we have always respected the God of Israel, praying and giving generously to those in need. However, it was through the message delivered by Peter that I truly grasped the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice. I became the first Gentile to embrace this faith, welcomed into the fold of believers. My conversion has opened the door for many others like me, bridging the gap between Jew and Gentile.
I stand here today as a testament to the power of faith and the inclusivity of God’s grace. It is an honour to share my story and the message of Christ, as I continue to serve my community and spread the good news to all.

I take great pride in serving and ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and cared for in my home. While my sister Mary is often more contemplative, I am more focused on the practicalities of daily life, striving to make everything perfect for our guests. My dedication to service has sometimes been a point of learning, especially in understanding the balance between work and spiritual devotion. Hello, my name is Delilah. I hail from the ancient land of the Philistines, a people often in conflict with the Israelites. I am most known for my role in the story of Samson, a man of extraordinary strength and a judge of Israel. 
My life took a dramatic turn when I encountered Samson, who was renowned not just for his physical prowess but also for his deep sense of purpose. Our connection was immediate, igniting a passion that captivated us both. However, I was also approached by the leaders of my people, who offered me a substantial reward to uncover the secret of Samson's incredible strength. 
Though my love for him was real, my choices ultimately led to betrayal. I sought to find out that secret, and in doing so, I became a pivotal figure in a tale of love, loyalty, and loss. My actions had far-reaching consequences, not just for Samson but for both our peoples.
Today, I am remembered as a complex figure—a symbol of both love and betrayal, passion and cunning. My story serves as a reminder of the delicate balance between desire and duty, and the unforeseen consequences of our choices.

BIO: Eve

Hello, I am Eve, often referred to as the first woman according to the Bible. My story begins in the Garden of Eden, where I was created by God as a companion to Adam, the first man. Formed from one of Adam's ribs, I was brought to life to be his partner, sharing in the stewardship of God's creation.
Living in the paradise of Eden, Adam and I enjoyed a life of bliss and harmony. We were given the responsibility to care for the garden and all its inhabitants, with the freedom to eat from every tree except one—the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. This commandment was given to us as a test of our obedience and trust in God's word.
However, my curiosity and a fateful encounter with the serpent led to a pivotal moment. The serpent, embodying deceit, tempted me to eat the forbidden fruit, promising that it would open our eyes and make us like God, knowing good and evil. Unable to resist, I ate the fruit and shared it with Adam. This act of disobedience resulted in our awareness of our nakedness and the subsequent feeling of shame.
Our choice had profound consequences. God, in His justice and mercy, cast us out of Eden to prevent us from eating from the Tree of Life and living forever in our fallen state. We were condemned to a life of labour and toil—Adam to work the ground for food and me to endure pain in childbirth. Yet, despite our fall from grace, God continued to watch over us, and we went on to populate the earth.
I am often remembered for my role in the original sin, but my story is also one of partnership, motherhood, and the complex journey of humanity's relationship with God. Through my life and choices, I played a part in the unfolding narrative of redemption and the hope for salvation that is central to the Bible's teachings.

BIO: Adam

My name is Adam, and I am honoured to introduce myself as the first human created by God. According to the Scriptures, my story begins in the Book of Genesis, where God formed me from the dust of the ground and breathed into my nostrils the breath of life. I awoke to the beauty of the Garden of Eden, a paradise filled with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and an abundance of animals.
God placed me in the Garden to tend and care for it, granting me the responsibility of naming all the creatures that roamed the land, flew in the sky, and swam in the waters. Despite the splendour of Eden, I felt a sense of solitude, and God recognized my need for companionship. He caused me to fall into a deep sleep, and from my side, He created Eve, my beloved partner and the first woman. Together, we lived harmoniously, experiencing the joy and tranquility of God's perfect creation.
However, our story took a pivotal turn when we encountered the serpent, who tempted us to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil—the one tree from which God had commanded us not to eat. Succumbing to the temptation, we ate the forbidden fruit, and our eyes were opened to the knowledge of good and evil. This act of disobedience led to our expulsion from the Garden of Eden and introduced sin and suffering into the world.
Although our choice brought consequences, it also set the stage for God's redemptive plan for humanity. My life, filled with both joy and hardship, serves as a testament to God's love, justice, and mercy. Through my story, I hope to remind others of the importance of obedience to God and the hope of redemption that is available to all.

BIO: Samson

Hello, I am Samson, a judge of Israel renowned for my extraordinary strength. Born to Manoah and his wife in the town of Zorah, my birth was foretold by an angel who declared that I would begin to deliver Israel from the Philistines. As a Nazirite from birth, I was dedicated to God, which included not cutting my hair—a symbol of my covenant with Him and the source of my mighty strength.
Throughout my life, I faced numerous challenges and battles against the Philistines. My feats of strength are legendary, from tearing apart a lion with my bare hands to slaying a thousand men with the jawbone of a donkey. My downfall, however, came through my love for Delilah, who betrayed me by discovering the secret of my strength and having my hair cut while I slept. Captured and blinded by the Philistines, I was taken to their temple, where I prayed to God one last time for strength. In a final act of defiance and faith, I brought down the temple upon myself and my captors, delivering a severe blow to the Philistine leadership.
My story is one of strength, struggle, and redemption, illustrating both the power and vulnerability of those chosen by God.
